Confused? It is easy to get confused by all the above choices but consider:
A) The faster drives with more storage capacity will be the most expensive. So if speed and more capacity is your concern look at the DLT-S4. Conversely, the slower drives with less capacity will be cheaper.
B) Look at the interface you need like Ultra 160 or USB for example. This will help you narrow down which model(s) to consider.
C) Consider your space or where you will locate the drive. Will it go into your server rack or on your desk or into your tower. This will determine further which model you should go with or not.
D) And do consider if you already have tapes written on a smaller capacity drive and you are upgrading to a bigger capacity drive which models will read which tapes that you already have. Making sure the new drive is "backward read and write compatible" with your existing tapes will save your investment in tapes which could be key also in your decision.
