What To Do When Your Printhead Seems To Not Work
The printhead is considered by many as the heart of the computer printer and printing process. It's job is to lay down the ink from the ink cartridge and spread the ink into the nozzle to print the desired document or picture. When you notice that your printed documents turns out to be poor or undesirable or there are marks that should not be there then there might be a problem with your print head. The problem may be caused by the printer head getting clogged or the unit has run out of ink. When this happens try self-cleaning mode. First go to “Devices and Printers” on your Windows, look for your printer driver and choose the “Properties” option. Click on the “Maintenance” tab and you can see “Cleaning” option. Click “Cleaning” and your printer will start cleaning the nozzle of your print head. When it’s done a test page see if the quality of the printed document has improved. Also do check if you have enough ink. If these options do not work consider replacing the printhead.
