Good (DK) Print Servers for large, small, home and office networks

A print server is a computer or device that connects printers to client computers over a network by which one or more printers are connected, which can accept print jobs from external client computers connected to the print server over a network.
Each station has the ability to designate one of the printers on the network as its default printer, but may always choose to send a print job to any of the other printers recognized by the print server.

Print servers may support a variety of industry-standard or proprietary printing protocols including Internet Printing Protocol, Line Printer Daemon protocol, and Microsoft Network Printing protocol.

Alternatively a print server may be a dedicated device on the network, with connections to the LAN and one or more printers.
• Allows network to share the same printer.
• Any one on network directly to it.
• Print servers are used in both large and small or home office networks.
• In a large organization, a single dedicated computer serving as a print server might manage hundreds of printers.
