A PC Card is identified as the structure-aspect of a secondary interface usually meant for notebook computers. The PC card was known as PCMCIA card earlier.
The size of a pc card is similar to the size of a credit card. This type of card was primarily used as the storage device. However, later with the advancement of technology and further applicability for notebooks, this car is used as the communication modems for the laptop and notebook computers.
The PC Card is available in 16 bit and 32 bit mode. Depending upon the thickness and types of this card, other uses of it includes, ATA drives, memory, LAN, sound, SCSIs, etc.
