Pen Drives Work Using Flash Memory

A pen drive is another name for an USB flash drive. An USB flash drive is a data storage device which consists of flash memory with an integrated USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface. USB flash drives are usually removable and rewritable, and much smaller than a floppy disk. These are often used for the same purposes for which floppy disks or CD-ROMs were used. Pen drives are not only smaller and faster but they are also more durable and reliable than a CD or DVD. Pen drives use the USB mass storage standard which is supported by modern operating systems such as Linux, Mac OS X, Windows. Pen drives draw power from the computer via USB connection so you don't have to worry or think about its power source.
