Printed wiring board or known as PWB is some kind of thin plate consisting of numerous connectors, wires that connect different components on it. The components and chips required to run the system are placed on the PWB.
In case of computers, it requires more than one board called an adapter or card. PWB for computer falls into several categories such as motherboard or main board, daughter card, expansion board, or network interface card.
The motherboard is the primary circuit board on which processor, controllers, memory, and other major components are attached. For connecting external devices like graphics cards, LAN cards, and other controller boards, an expansion board is used.
